While remaining sonically similar to her past work, this track really leans into a unique approach to production that shows off her continued willingness to adapt and experiment within her perfectly textured, well-balanced music. “These words slipped out of my mouth one evening while speaking playfully with a lover, and we both agreed they needed to be a song about the unknowns of bracing for any romantic endeavor,” she explains on the genesis of the single.
